About the Role

We are looking for a skilled, self-reliant, and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our cutting-edge Autonomous UGV R&D; division in Bengaluru. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly, integration, and structural fabrication of next-generation unmanned ground systems.

We are seeking a professional who thrives in a dynamic R&D; environment, possesses solid ownership of their work, and can execute complex mechanical tasks with minimal to no supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Integration: Execute the end-to-end mechanical assembly of autonomous UGV structures, chassis, sub-systems, and mechanical components based on engineering drawings and CAD layouts.

R&D; Support: Assist design engineers in prototyping, structural modifications, fitment testing, and troubleshooting mechanical alignment or clearance issues. Ability to perform minor manual modifications on the fly when a prototype part doesn't fit perfectly.

Independent Execution: Manage daily workshop tasks, tool handling, and assembly sequences independently without requiring continuous monitoring or additional support.

Quality & Safety Compliance:



Ensure all assembly work strictly adheres to the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and highly efficient workspace by strictly implementing 5S methodologies and adhering to workplace safety policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.

Experience: 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical structural assembly, integration, or prototyping.

Industry Background: Prior experience in the Automobile, Aerospace, or Defense industries is mandatory.

Behavioral & Language Skills:

Autonomy: Proven ability to work reliably as an individual contributor with zero continuous supervision.

Soft Skills: Must possess a polite, respectful, and collaborative demeanour with a positive attitude toward feedback and teamwork.

Communication: Proficient verbal and written English language skills are a must for seamless documentation and technical communication with the engineering team.
