Job Summary: The Sr.Purchase Engineer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, products, and services. This role requires a strong technical background to understand product specifications and requirements, as well as experience in handling both local and international suppliers. The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiation skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Description
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery capability, and technical compliance
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in line with approved specifications and prices
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions to achieve cost savings
- Coordinate with Engineering and Production Teams to understand technical requirements
- Track order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve issues related to shortages, delays, and non-conforming materials
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier database, and documentation
- Support Vendor Development and Supplier Performance Evaluation
- Ensure compliance with Company Procurement Policies and Procedures
Preferred Education / Qualification
BE / Diploma – Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering
Specific Skills Required
- 1–3 years of experience in Electrical Wiring / Cabling
- Experience in Switchgear Installation
- Knowledge of Technical Procurement, Vendor Coordination, and Material Sourcing will be an added advantage.
