Role Overview

The Apparel Manufacturing Plant Merchandiser is responsible for coordinating buyer orders within the factory, ensuring smooth production flow from order confirmation to shipment. This role acts as a bridge between buyers, head office merchandising teams, production units, and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Execution & Planning

- Receive confirmed orders and review technical packs (tech packs)
- Prepare Time & Action (T&A;) calendar for each order within 2 days form the order received
- Coordinate with production planning department for line allocation
- Ensure materials (fabric, trims, accessories) are available before production starts

2. Production Coordination

- Monitor daily production status and update order progress to the reporting authority
- Follow up with cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing departments, ensure the correct quantity +5% from the order quantity
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate solutions, clear the issues then and there
- Ensure production targets and shipment deadlines are met based on the order quantity and the customers

3. Sampling & Approvals

- Coordinate sample development (fit sample – 3 days, PP sample-5 days, size set- 4 days, etc.) in




- Track buyer approvals before bulk production – maximum in 2 days the package delivered at the Buyer end
- Communicate modifications to production teams

4. Costing & Material Management

- Assist in garment costing and consumption calculation – within 2 working days
- Follow up on fabric and trim consumption to avoid shortages
- Control wastage and maintain cost efficiency

5. Quality & Compliance

- Coordinate inline and final inspections
- Ensure production follows buyer specifications and quality standards
- Address quality issues with QA/QC team

6. Shipment & Documentation

- Coordinate packing list, carton markings, and shipment details
- Ensure goods are ready as per shipment schedule
- Support documentation team for invoice, packing list, and export papers

Required Skills

- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Production planning and follow-up ability
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a factory environment

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
