Role Purpose

Responsible for managing daily production operations of Copper Cable Lugs, Aluminium Lugs, Bimetallic Lugs, Connectors, Ferrules, and related electrical accessories. The role requires strong production planning, counting accuracy, mathematical ability, material reconciliation, manpower handling, and control over production output, rejection, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

- Plan and execute daily production as per order schedule and dispatch priority.
- Allocate machines, manpower, tools, and raw material for each production activity.
- Monitor operations such as cutting, forging, chamfering, drilling, annealing, plating, inspection, and packing.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within planned timelines.
- Coordinate with Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Dispatch teams.

2. Production Counting & Material Reconciliation

- Maintain accurate counting of raw material, semi-finished goods, finished goods, rejection, rework, and scrap.
- Verify daily production quantity machine-wise, operator-wise, and product-wise.
- Reconcile material issued from Stores against finished quantity produced.
- Calculate material consumption, yield, shortage, excess, rejection percentage, and wastage percentage.
- Ensure accuracy in packing quantity, carton quantity, batch quantity, and dispatch-ready material.
- Investigate and report any mismatch in stock, production quantity, or material consumption.

3. Quality & Process Control

- Ensure products are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.




- Monitor critical dimensions including barrel size, palm width, hole diameter, length, plating finish, and visual quality.
- Coordinate with QC for in-process and final inspection.
- Reduce rejection, rework, and customer complaints through corrective action.

4. Manpower & Shop Floor Management

- Supervise operators, helpers, supervisors, and machine operators.
- Allocate work and monitor manpower productivity.
- Maintain discipline, safety, cleanliness, and 5S on the shop floor.
- Train workers on proper production methods, quantity counting, quality checks, and material handling.
- Ensure proper shift handover and daily reporting.

5. Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor machine utilization and downtime.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper use and availability of dies, tools, gauges, and production consumables.
- Minimize machine downtime and production loss.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily production reports, material consumption reports, rejection reports, and shift reports.
- Prepare production-versus-plan reports and pending-order status.




- Maintain traceability of material batches and finished goods.
- Follow company SOPs, ISO procedures, safety standards, and production-control systems.

Key Skills Required

- Excellent counting ability and strong basic mathematics.
- Ability to calculate production quantities, material consumption, wastage, rejection, and yield.
- Knowledge of copper and aluminium cable lug manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of cutting, forging, drilling, annealing, plating, and finishing operations.
- Good leadership and manpower-handling skills.
- Basic knowledge of quality instruments and dimensional inspection.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
- Robust problem-solving, coordination, and decision-making ability.

Education & Experience

- Diploma / BE in Mechanical, Production, or related engineering field preferred.
- 01–02 years of experience in production or shop-floor management.
- Experience in production counting and material reconciliation is mandatory.

- Daily production target achievement.
- Accuracy of production counting and material reconciliation.
- Reduction in material wastage, rejection, and rework.
- Timely completion of production and urgent orders.
- Manpower productivity and machine utilization.
- Accuracy of daily production reports and stock records.
- Compliance with quality, safety, and 5S standards.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
