Job Title: Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineer (Laboratory Operations)

Metalab Analytical Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineer to join our NABL-accredited facility in Ahmedabad. If you have hands-on experience with material testing and ISO/IEC 17025 standards, we want to hear from you!

- Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat
- Industry: TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) - Service Industry
- Role: Laboratory Operations & Technical Testing

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct Mechanical Testing: Tensile, Yield Strength, Hardness (Rockwell/Brinell/Vickers), Impact (Charpy/Izod), and Bend tests.
- Perform Grade Identification for Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, and Alloys.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment like UTM, Spectrometer (OES), and Hardness testers.
- Maintain documentation as per ISO/IEC 17025 (NABL) standards.
- Generate accurate Test Certificates (TC) with high precision.

Core Technical Skills (Mechanical & Metallurgy):

- Mechanical Testing / Destructive Testing
- Metallurgical Testing
- Hardness Testing (Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers)
- Tensile Testing (UTM Machine operations)
- Impact Testing (Charpy / Izod)




- Microstructure Analysis / Optical Microscopy
- Sample Preparation (Polishing, Grinding, Etching)
- Spectro Analysis / Chemical Testing of Metals

Compliance & Quality Skills:

- ISO/IEC 17025 Standards
- NABL Documentation
- Quality Control (QC)
- Calibration of Instruments
- Laboratory Testing Standards (ASTM, IS, ISO Standards)

Who Should Apply?

- Education: ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering.
- Experience: 4-6 years in a Third-Party Testing Laboratory (NABL preferred). Freshers with strong technical knowledge are also welcome.
- Skills: Strong understanding of ASTM/IS/ISO standards and Root Cause Analysis.
