Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Automation Engineer with strong expertise in desktop-based application automation and hands-on experience using TestComplete . The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of the Capital Markets domain , including trading systems, order management, and settlement processes. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for complex desktop applications used in financial environments

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop robust automation frameworks for desktop-based applications using Python and TestComplete .
Create, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for end-to-end workflows in trading or capital market applications.
Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to understand functional requirements and translate them into automation requirements.
Perform functional, regression, integration , and UI automation testing .
Analyze automation test results, detect defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution.
Enhance automation coverage and optimize test execution efficiency.
Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.

Ensure high-quality documentation of test cases, scripts, and automation processes

Skill Requirements
Solid proficiency in Python (OOP, libraries for automation, file handling, API handling).




Hands-on experience with TestComplete automation tool (desktop application automation is mandatory).
Experience automating Windows/Desktop applications such as WPF, WinForms, Electron apps, or legacy financial systems.
Good understanding of Capital Markets domain concepts (e.g., trading lifecycle, order types, FIX protocol basics, settlement processes).
Experience with version control tools like Git , Bitbucket , or Azure DevOps .
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines , Bambu, Jenkins (good to have).

Strong analytical and debugging skills

Good to Have

Knowledge of API automation (REST/SOAP).
Experience working with SQL databases.
Exposure to investment banking applications , OMS, EMS, or clearing systems.
Understanding of scripting frameworks like PyTest or Behave (BDD).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology.
