We are looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – Human Resources to join our Chennai manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to plant HR operations, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and workforce management in a manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations at the plant, ensuring statutory compliance, fostering healthy employee relations, supporting business objectives through effective manpower planning, and maintaining seamless HR administration.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day HR operations for the manufacturing plant.
- Handle Industrial Relations (IR) activities and maintain a healthy employee-employer relationship.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, statutory regulations, and factory compliance requirements.
- Coordinate manpower planning, recruitment, onboarding, and workforce deployment.
- Address employee grievances and implement effective employee engagement initiatives.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
- Prepare HR MIS reports, attendance, leave records, and other HR analytics.
- Coordinate with government authorities for statutory inspections and documentation.
- Support performance management, disciplinary actions, and policy implementation.
- Conduct employee induction, training coordination,



and HR awareness programs.
- Work closely with department heads to achieve manpower and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred.

Experience

- 8–12 years of relevant HR experience.
- Experience in Automotive Manufacturing, Plastic Injection Moulding, or other manufacturing industries is mandatory.
- Prior experience in plant HR operations is essential.
