Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Assembly Operations & Line Efficiency

- Supervise End-to-End Assembly: Oversee core stages of the battery assembly line, including cell sorting, cell grading, module building, laser welding, circuit integration (BMS), pack casing, and final leak/electrical testing.
- Meet Production KPIs: Manage workflow schedules and direct manpower to hit key performance indicators, including daily volumetric outputs, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and cycle times
- Troubleshoot Line Bottlenecks: Actively diagnose mechanical, electrical, or software issues on the assembly line (such as automated pick-and-place errors or welding faults) to minimize equipment downtime.

2. Battery Safety, EHS, & Compliance

- Mitigate Thermal & Electrical Risks: Enforce strict environmental health and safety (EHS) procedures tailored specifically to high-voltage equipment and unstable chemical components.
- Hazardous Material Management: Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of damaged, punctured, or thermal-runaway-risk battery cells.
- Maintain Cleanroom Protocols: Monitor workplace variables like humidity and temperature limits, as moisture sensitivity is critical to battery lifespan and safety.

3. Quality Assurance & Testing

- Enforce SOPs: Ensure operators strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and control plans to ensure zero-defect escape from production stations.
- Collaborate on Root Cause Analysis:



Partner with Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineering teams to investigate structural assembly defects, carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and institute corrective measures.
- Track Testing Logs: Validate functional in-process and end-of-line (EOL) test data, including insulation resistance, open-circuit voltage (OCV), and capacity checks.

4. Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

- Train & Mentor Personnel: Onboard and cross-train technical assembly operators and technicians in specialized workflows like spot welding or wire bonding.
- Drive Lean Practices: Lead continuous improvement workshops and Kaizen events to optimize floor layouts, reduce assembly material scrap, and automate manual line segments.

Position Requirements

- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, Preferred - with at least 2 years of direct experience supervising a Lithium-ion battery or electronics assembly line.
- Technical Proficiencies: Familiarity with high-voltage safety systems, automated manufacturing execution systems (MES), PLC logic testing, and battery testing hardware.
- Certifications (Preferred): OSHA high-voltage electrical safety certification, or a Six Sigma Green Belt.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
