Job Summary:

Performs advanced skilled activities to support manufacturing operations and business needs. Utilizes appropriate tools, machinery, and specialized equipment while maintaining a solid focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. Works independently and serves as a resource to coach and guide less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE)

- Identify and immediately report hazards, incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Proactively promote a culture of safety and interdependence across teams.
- Participate in HSE training and continuous safety improvement initiatives.
- Minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices.

Quality

- Apply high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship in all tasks.
- Perform work as per diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections and identify areas of improvement.
- Support equipment uptime through failure analysis and feedback into preventive maintenance systems.
- Follow all process documentation and quality procedures.
- Proactively raise concerns to minimize cost and quality risks.

Delivery & Operations

- Execute preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support achievement of production targets through efficient task execution.
- Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints and inefficiencies.
- Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve operational problems.

Teamwork & Capability Building

- Communicate effectively with team members and support functions.




- Coach and mentor junior employees; act as an informal technical resource.
- Participate in training and development aligned with business needs.
- Actively contribute to Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to improve quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

- High school diploma, secondary education completion, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Additional technical certifications or licenses may be required based on regulatory or compliance needs (e.g., export controls).

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor operations.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
- Familiarity with GD&T; principles and tooling concepts (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of automation (robots/cobots) and troubleshooting (preferred).
- Understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics.

Experience

- Significant relevant work experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, OR
- Specialized skills acquired through technical education, training, or hands-on experience.

Additional Information

- This role may require working with electrical and industrial energy systems; adherence to safety protocols is critical.
- May involve independent work as well as guiding and supporting other team members.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T; and its application in product and tooling design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for tooling design and modifications.
- Experience with PFMEA, work instruction updates, and manufacturing documentation.
- Troubleshooting skills for robots, cobots, and automated manufacturing systems.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
