Academic Counselor

- Conduct one-on-one or telephonic counseling sessions with students to understand their academic goals, preferences, and aspirations.
- Provide personalized guidance to students regarding their study abroad options, including academic programs, destinations, and cultural experiences.
- Assist students in selecting appropriate courses and programs that align with their academic goals and meet the requirements
- Maintain up-to-date information on academic programs, universities, scholarships, admission requirements and other resources relevant to studying abroad.
- Inform students about scholarships and financial aid options to help them fund their studies abroad.
- Collaborate with the operations department to ensure seamless coordination and support for students throughout the study abroad process.
- Provide continuous support to students during their preparation for departure and throughout their study abroad experience.
- Build rapport with students and their families, addressing their questions and concerns throughout the process.
- Stay updated on trends and changes in the field of international education and adapt counseling strategies accordingly by attending training session and other value adding programs.




- Implement cross selling wherever possible like IELTS, Forex, Ticketing etc.
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities like expos, fairs etc. to attract current customers to the company's services.
- Follow up with previously enrolled students and gain reference leads.
- Be active on online platforms representing the company and build work connections.
- Create daily, weekly and monthly reports with accurate data and information and share the same with the concerned managers and team lead.

Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience as an Academic Counselor in the Overseas Education industry mandatory.
