An MBBS doctor with an AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) certification serves as an Occupational Health Physician. Their role bridges clinical medicine and corporate safety. Responsibilities include conducting statutory pre-employment and annual medical exams, evaluating occupational hazards, managing onsite emergency responses, and auditing workplace hygiene

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Occupational Health Management: Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, and maintain individual health records for employees.
- Statutory Medical Examinations: Conduct routine and pre-placement health check-ups to ensure workers are physically fit for specific industrial duties.
- Hazard & Risk Surveillance: Identify, assess, and monitor exposure to physical, chemical, and biological hazards in factories or corporate work environments.




- Emergency Preparedness: Formulate emergency response plans, manage onsite medical inspection rooms (OHC - Occupational Health Center), and coordinate the immediate treatment and transfer of injured personnel.
- Health Promotion: Plan wellness programs, ergonomic assessments, and health awareness campaigns to reduce occupational diseases.

Typical Requirements & Work Setting

- Qualifications: MBBS Degree + recognized AFIH certification (a 3-month course recognized by DGFASLI).
- Experience: Typically 1 to 3+ years of clinical or occupational health experience

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
