Redpath Diagnostics is a fast-growing diagnostic laboratory committed to delivering accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic services. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Lab Manager who can efficiently lead our laboratory operations while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Job Summary

The Lab Manager will be responsible for the overall management of laboratory operations, ensuring smooth workflow, quality compliance, staff supervision, report approval coordination, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and extensive experience in diagnostic laboratory management.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the complete day-to-day operations of the diagnostic laboratory.
- Manage and supervise technical and non-technical laboratory staff.
- Ensure timely processing and reporting of all laboratory investigations.
- Monitor Turn Around Time (TAT) and improve laboratory efficiency.
- Maintain Internal Quality Control (IQC), External Quality Assurance (EQAS), and NABL compliance.
- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, laboratory policies, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate with pathologists, consultants, management, and other departments.
- Monitor reagent consumption, inventory, and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Conduct staff training, performance monitoring, and skill development.
- Resolve operational challenges and maintain a productive work setting.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, biomedical waste management, and regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications

- B.Sc. MLT (Mandatory)
- M.Sc. MLT / M.Sc. Medical Microbiology / M.Sc.



Biochemistry or other relevant postgraduate qualification will be preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 10 years of experience in a diagnostic laboratory is mandatory.
- Prior experience as a Lab Manager, Laboratory Supervisor, or Senior Laboratory Technologist will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Clinical Pathology, Serology, and Microbiology.
- Thorough understanding of NABL standards, quality systems, and laboratory documentation.
- Experience in laboratory workflow management and process improvement.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
