Outpatient Department (OPD) Duties

- Patient Screening: Guiding patients through visual acuity screenings and preliminary diagnostic testing.
- Doctor Assistance: Assisting ophthalmologists during standard eye examinations and specialized diagnostic procedures.
- Medication Administration: Administering diagnostic eye drops, local anesthetic blocks, and regular eye medications as directed

Operation Theatre (OT) Responsibilities

- Theatre Preparation: Sterilizing surgical equipment and setting up micro-surgical instrument packs for eye procedures like cataract and LASIK surgeries.
- Surgical Assistance: Serving as a scrub or circulating nurse during sensitive eye surgeries.
- Safety Protocols: Performing instrument and sponge counts to maintain a safe, infection-free operating field

Inpatient Department (IPD) & Daycare Care

- Pre-operative Prep: Checking vital signs, securing consent, and dilating patients' eyes using exact drop schedules before surgery.
- Post-operative Monitoring:



Tracking post-anesthesia recovery and checking the positioning of eye patches or shields.
- Discharge Counselling: Educating family members on how to apply eye drops, spot infection signs, and avoid rubbing the eye

Administrative & Setup Responsibilities

- Infection Control: Formulating and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning, sanitation, and complete sterilization to prevent outbreaks

Electronic Records: Maintaining accurate digital documentation via the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system regarding medication timing and patient data

Discharge Counselling: Educating families on how to administer eye drops safely at home, identifying warning signs of infection, and scheduling mandatory follow-up appointments

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
