Brainware University is seeking experienced Purchase & Cost Control Officers to support ongoing and upcoming new construction and infrastructure projects. The role focuses on procurement efficiency, cost optimization, vendor coordination, and budget control across civil and allied works.
Responsibility:
Key Responsibilities:-
- Handle procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements
- Identify vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate rates, and issue purchase orders
- Monitor material consumption, control project costs, and prevent budget overruns
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, stores, and accounts teams
- Maintain purchase records, cost sheets, MIS reports, and vendor documentation

Essential Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, BOQs, rate analysis, and vendor markets
- Excellent negotiation, cost-control, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MIS reporting, and coordination with multiple stakeholders
- High attention to detail, compliance orientation, and deadline discipline
- Exposure to Government Purchase Rules, including GFR, will be an added advantage
- Skill in e-tendering process and Excel tools
- Knowledge of vendor management processes
