Job Description: Enterprise Architect (T4XX)-2

Key expectations from the Role
Should be an expert on jEE technology and database design.
Should have prior experience on working as an enterprise architect for a product or business unit.
Should have experience on database design/modelling and tuning.
Should be presentable with excellent communication skills. A customer facing person.
Should confidently conduct technical workshops with bank' architects.
Should be ready to travel frequently, mostly on short notices.
Skills

Hands on experience:
Java, jEE design patterns, Web Services, Messaging (JMS/MQ).
Database design, SQL, Query Optimization and Oracle11g.
Middleware - database connectivity
One of the following application servers-Oracle WebLogic 10.x+,IBM WAS 7.X+,jBoss EAP6.1+.
Transaction Management with JTA & EJB/MDB,Global XA transactions,Caching,Multi Threading,Security APIs,XML.

Conceptual clarity and working knowledge:
SOA,BPM,Spring (UI/AOP/Batch),ORM(Hibernate/iBatis) and ESB Tool.
Performance tuning, application deployment topologies, DR strategy, capacity planning.
Integration design patterns and security.
Clustering and Fail over.
Web application security.




Good communication,articulation skills and decision making abilities.
Operational Tasks
Design review for framework, product and implementation level design changes.
Own the technology stack and the technology roadmap across framework and products.
Drive technology presentations and conduct workshops.
Choose from one of multiple technologies in the presentation, integration, service layers, operating platforms.
Participate in technical discussions with prospects and customer' architects.
During benchmarking exercises provide overall guidance.
Provide inputs on inter product communications.
Review end user experience of framework and all products and ensure consistency across systems.
Respond to technology strategy and roadmap sections of RFP/RFI.
Review technical responses for critical RFPs and proposals.
Undertake short term technology focussed consulting assignments.
Lase with software vendors like IBM, Oracle for partnerships.
Provide research inputs on current technology.
Contribute to technology blogs , white papers and articles.
Design, Plan and conduct technical training programs.
