Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- 12th Std / Graduate
- 5-8 yrs of Experience in a Distillery industry.
- Technical and hands-on practical ability.
- Prior alcohol experience is imperative.
- Should have good knowledge across all facets of the ENA process including: Milling, Fermentation, distillation, Evaporation, Decanters dryers, boiler, and water treatment, or part of is preferred.
- Positive attitude, team player, and a willingness to 'go the extra mile'.
- Willingness to work floating or alternating shifts should the need arise;
- Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Robust mechanical aptitude.
- Works within clearly defined standard operations procedures and or scientific methods and adheres to quality.
- Advanced critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently in order to communicate effectively with team members within and external to department.
- High attention to detail, especially to quality standards and compliance systems
- Basic computer operation and data entry skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible to follow Distillation Process through DCS and ensuring smooth operations for production with quality standards
- Knowledge across all facets of the ethanol process including: Milling, Liquefaction, Fermentation, Evaporation, Distillation, Decanter, Dryers, Boiler, and water treatment, or part of is preferred.
- Operate DCS (computer control system)
for the plant and follow procedure for every parameter (temperature, Level, Pressure) for 7 Column such as Analyzer Colum, PRD (Pre-rectifier Column), ED (Extractive Column), RC (Rectifier Column), Simmering Column, Recovery/FOC (Fusel alcohol) and Exhaust Column
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures for plant start-up, shut down, cleaning and batching.
- Stay within operating parameters set by Plant/Production Manager and notify management of any production problems.
- Keep accurate and timely logs.
- Collect samples and do the necessary tests to ensure consistent and quality product and record results.
- Monitor and make adjustments on the (DCS) computer according to the results of the samples and to keep within parameters and record changes.
- Keep operators, coming on shift, briefed on what has happened and what is supposed to be done during the next shift.
- Work closely with maintenance and inform them of any mechanical problems.
- Communicate with the Laboratory and learn testing procedures including but not limited to yeast counts, Near Spectrometer and the GC.
- Responsible for notifying Shift in Charge / AM Process of any production problems.
- Complete any and all tasks assigned by the Shift in Charge / AM Process
- Help out in other areas as needed.
- Available occasionally for call in work and overtime.
- Participate in safety programs and ongoing training sessions.
- Required to follow all safety procedures.
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.
