Job Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing end-to-end production operations to ensure timely manufacturing, optimum resource utilization, quality compliance, and continuous process improvement.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Operations

- Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the defined timelines.
- Monitor production activities and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, and Quality teams for uninterrupted production.

Team Management

- Lead, supervise, and motivate the production team.
- Allocate manpower based on production requirements.
- Train employees on production processes, SOPs, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
- Maintain discipline and promote teamwork on the production floor.

Quality Management

- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to address quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Reduce product rejection, defects, and rework.

Process Improvement

- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Reduce production costs, wastage, and downtime.
- Improve production efficiency and productivity.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen,



and continuous improvement practices.
- Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Inventory & Material Management

- Ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Coordinate with Stores and Procurement for inventory planning.
- Maintain accurate production and material usage records.

Machine & Maintenance Coordination

- Monitor machine performance and production equipment.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime.
- Improve equipment utilization.

Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety standards (if applicable), and company policies.
- Maintain workplace hygiene and cleanliness.
- Conduct regular safety inspections.
- Ensure adherence to statutory and safety regulations.

Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare Daily Production Reports (DPR).
- Track production KPIs and operational performance.
- Maintain production records and documentation.
- Present production reports to management.
- Analyze production data and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Goods Manufacturing is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
