Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Department: Rehabilitation Services
Reporting To:Clinical Director / Head of Rehabilitation
Location:Mind & Brain Hospital, Bengaluru
Employment Type:Full-Time
Working Hours
- Monday to Saturday
- 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekly Off: Sunday
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP) or Master's Degree (MASLP) from a recognized university.
- Registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is preferred (where applicable).
- Freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
Experience
- Freshers may apply.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital, rehabilitation centre, or clinical setting is preferred.
- Experience working with children and adults with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders is an added advantage.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient assessment.
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
- Conduct cognitive-communication assessments and rehabilitation where indicated.
- Manage patients with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, intellectual disabilities,
stroke, traumatic brain injury, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other neurological conditions.
- Assess and manage dysphagia (swallowing disorders) when appropriate.
Therapy & Rehabilitation
- Conduct one-to-one therapy sessions.
- Implement communication enhancement strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and modify therapy goals as required.
- Recommend assistive communication devices and home-based therapy programmes when needed.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate assessment reports, therapy notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure documentation complies with hospital policies and NABH standards.
Family & Caregiver Education
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapy goals, home programmes, and communication strategies.
- Provide counselling regarding prognosis and expected outcomes.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special educators, nurses, and social workers.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
