Raja's Catering is one of Singapore's established Indian wedding and events caterers, and we are expanding our design capability. We are looking for a talented Event Designer based in Chennai to own the visual side of our events end-to-end — 3D venue layouts, decor concepts, mood boards, and client presentation decks — working fully remotely (work from home) for our Singapore events team.

Your concepts go in front of paying clients in Singapore every week, and your layouts are what our on-site decor crew builds on event day.

THE ROLE

- Design 3D venue layouts and renders in SketchUp — floor plans, stage/mandap designs, buffet line layouts, and walkthrough views for weddings and corporate events (100-800 pax).

- Develop decor concepts and mood boards — themes, colour palettes, floral direction, backdrop and stage styling for Indian weddings and general events.

- Build client presentation decks — polished proposals that help our sales team close bookings.

- Produce execution drawings for our setup crew — dimensioned layouts, sourcing lists, and decor BOQs the on-site team can build from without you present.

- Maintain our design library — reusable SketchUp components for our tables, stages, backdrops, and decor inventory.

- Join client and internal calls via video when a design needs to be presented or revised live (Singapore hours).

MUST-HAVES

- Minimum 3 years in event design, with a portfolio showing Indian wedding work — mandap/stage design, floral styling, backdrop and hall decor. Portfolio is mandatory; applications without one will not be reviewed.

- Strong SketchUp proficiency (layouts, components, materials, scenes). 3ds Max,



V-Ray/Enscape, or Lumion a robust plus.

- Graphic tools for presentation work — Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator for mood boards and client decks.

- Good spoken English and Tamil — you will deal with our Singapore team and clients directly.

- Reliable home-office setup — computer capable of 3D work and stable internet.

- Able to work aligned to Singapore hours (IST +2.5h) with occasional weekend availability during peak wedding season.

COMPENSATION

- INR 55,000-70,000/month depending on experience and portfolio strength.

- Monthly performance incentives on top of base, tied to clear KPIs: conversion bonus when proposals you designed convert to confirmed bookings, turnaround bonus for hitting design SLAs, and reviews bonus for positive client reviews naming decor/design.

- Paid monthly, on time, in INR to your Indian bank account. Engaged as an independent contractor/consultant to our Singapore company.

- Long-term role with growth path to Design Lead as we scale the design team.
