Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate Accounts Executive who manages to billing, proposal preparation, and day-to-day accounting operations for a trading business dealing in plywood, home and office furniture, and building materials at our client's office in the Puthiyapalam area of Calicut. This role focuses primarily on preparing customer proposals, coordinating with the sales team for accurate billing and ensuring smooth financial transactions. The position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in billing, and effective coordination across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage customer proposals, quotations, and pricing documents

* Handle sales billing activities in coordination with the sales team

* Ensure accurate and timely invoice generation using Tally

* Coordinate with sales executives to verify order details, pricing, and delivery terms

* Maintain records of sales transactions, billing data, and customer accounts

* Assist in accounts receivable tracking and follow-up for pending payments

* Record daily accounting entries including sales, receipts, and adjustments

* Perform basic reconciliations of sales and customer ledgers

* Maintain proper documentation of invoices, quotations, and supporting records

* Support GST billing compliance and basic data preparation

* Ensure smooth coordination between accounts, sales, and store/operations teams

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification

* Tally experience is mandatory

* Basic understanding of accounting principles and GST

* Solid knowledge of billing processes and documentation

* Proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate level)

* Good communication and coordination skills

* Robust attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling

Recruitment and Experience Requirements

* 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or billing roles

* Experience in the trading, retail, or building materials industry will be an advantage

* Strong experience in billing and coordination with sales teams preferred

* Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

* Candidates from or near Calicut (Puthiyapalam ) will be preferred
