Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare the operating room by setting up sterile instruments and equipment.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sponges, and other items needed during surgery.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques throughout the procedure.
- Count surgical instruments and materials (e.g., sponges, needles) before and after the procedure to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.
- Monitor the patient’s condition during surgery in collaboration with the circulating nurse and anesthetist.
- Support the surgical team in positioning the patient and ensuring proper draping.
- Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens.
- Assist with post-operative care and equipment sterilization.
- Collaborate with the surgical and perioperative team for smooth case flow.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Registered Nurse (RN)



license (as per local/regional requirements).
- Scrub nurse training or operating theatre experience required.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and preferably Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
