We are currently looking for a dedicated Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team.
Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the finance department with day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to build a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update day-to-day financial records including ledgers, journals, and vouchers.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Support GST filings, TDS deductions, and other statutory compliance activities.
- Assist with preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
- Monitor and track company expenses against budgets and report discrepancies.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records and invoices.
- Coordinate with other departments for financial data collection and reporting.
- Perform any other accounting-related tasks as assigned by senior management.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime for accounting entries and reports.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP,
Pivot Tables, basic formulas) and MS Word.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and other Indian tax regulations.
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
- Familiarity with financial statements: Balance Sheet, P&L;, and Cash Flow.
- Experience with bank reconciliation and invoice processing.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data handling.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Knowledge of Indian taxation laws and financial regulations is preferred.
- Candidates pursuing CA / CMA inter or semi-qualified are welcome to apply.
