Job Description: Senior Associate – Legal & Data Privacy

Experience: 2-3 Yrs

Location: Mumbai, WFO 5 days a week

We are seeking a highly organized and technically sound Senior Associate for Legal & Data Privacy to join our fast-paced team. This role is designed for a proactive legal professional who excels at navigating complex technology contracts and ensuring end-to-end compliance with global data protection regulations.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of contract management—from initial drafting and red-lining to final negotiation. You will serve as a key partner to internal departments, including Sales, Marketing, IT, and Finance, to ensure business initiatives move forward without compromising legal or privacy requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- - Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Lead negotiations and draft a wide range of agreements, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), SaaS/Subscription licenses, Data Protection Agreements (DPAs), SLAs, NDAs, and Vendor Contracts.
- Privacy Compliance: Provide expert legal advice on global privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and DPDPA.
- Template Management:



Review and modify contractual templates to highlight potential risks and ensure all corporate obligations are met.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with internal teams to scale contract processes and achieve timely completions within scheduled deadlines.
- Dispute Support: Draft legal notices and counter-notices as required.
- Legal Administration: Maintain meticulous records and provide analytical support for various business projects and research initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

- - Education: LL.B, LLM, or BA. LL.B (Hons.) degree.
- Experience: 2–3 years of relevant experience within a renowned law firm or as in-house counsel.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in the Software or Digital industry with a deep understanding of technology contracts.
- Privacy Knowledge: Proven experience with GDPR, CCPA, and DPDPA compliance. CIPP certification is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
