Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer (Manual QA) to own black-box testing for a Windows desktop application built using .NET/C#.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure high standards of:

Functionality

Reliability

Performance

Cross-platform compatibility

UI/Rendering quality

Key Responsibilities

Manual & Functional Testing

Create detailed test plans and test cases

Execute functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing

Validate workflows, UI behaviour, and end-to-end scenarios

Perform boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning

Performance & Reliability Validation

Validate application launch time and responsiveness

Monitor memory usage and stability under prolonged use

Identify crashes, memory leaks, and performance degradation

Graphics & Rendering Validation

Validate rendering quality, DPI scaling, colour accuracy, and image fidelity

Test image editing operations and edge-case file inputs

Verify multi-monitor and resolution compatibility

Compatibility Testing





Test across multiple Windows OS versions and hardware configurations

Validate installation, upgrade, and uninstall workflows

Defect Management

Report reproducible bugs with clear documentation

Collaborate with developers for defect triage and resolution

Perform regression testing after fixes

Required Skills

2–5 years of Manual QA experience

Experience testing Windows desktop applications

Strong knowledge of: Black-box testing, Regression testing, Exploratory testing, Usability testing

Strong bug reporting and documentation skills

Understanding of SDLC and QA processes

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Positive to Have

Exposure to .NET/C# applications

Experience with graphics/image editing applications

Familiarity with: Azure DevOps, Jira, TestRail

Understanding of performance and accessibility testing
