Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Manager – Analyst Relations & Competitive Intelligence to build and manage Avaali’s relationships with leading industry analyst firms — including Gartner, Forrester, HFS Research, IDC, Ardent Partners, WorldCC, and similar — across the Source-to-Pay, procurement technology, and AI/decision intelligence categories. ‍

You will be the primary point of contact for analysts, responsible for keeping them informed about Avaali’s products and roadmap, securing briefings, and working to get Avaali, Velocious, and Avagama.AI featured, rated, or listed in analyst research, reports, and rankings (e.g., Magic Quadrants, Market Guides, Waves, Vendor Landscapes). Alongside this, you’ll own Avaali’s competitive intelligence function — tracking how competitors (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Zycus, GEP, Jaggaer, and adjacent players) position, win, and lose in the market, and turning that intelligence into sharper positioning, sales enablement, and analyst conversations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Relationship Management: ‍
Own and grow relationships with existing analyst contacts (e.g., Gartner) and proactively establish new relationships with priority firms such as Forrester, HFS Research, IDC, Ardent Partners, WorldCC, and other relevant analyst houses
- Briefing Cadence: ‍
Build and maintain a structured calendar of regular briefings, check-ins, and update calls with covering analysts to keep them current on Avaali’s product roadmap, customer wins, and market positioning
- Inclusion & Visibility: ‍
Identify and pursue opportunities to get Avaali, Velocious, and Avagama.AI included, rated, or cited in analyst reports, research notes, market guides, and rankings relevant to Source-to-Pay, procurement tech, and AI/decision intelligence
- Content & Briefing Prep: ‍
Prepare high-quality briefing decks, product update documents, RFI/survey responses,

and supporting materials (customer references, win stories, metrics) tailored to each analyst firm’s research agenda
- Calendar & Deadline Tracking: ‍
Track key analyst research calendars, survey/RFI windows, and submission deadlines to ensure Avaali never misses a relevant inclusion opportunity
- Internal Coordination: ‍
Coordinate internally with product, sales, and leadership (including the CEO) to gather inputs, align messaging, and prep spokespeople ahead of analyst interactions
- Competitive Positioning: ‍
Maintain a competitive and category awareness of how analysts view and segment the market (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Zycus, GEP, Jaggaer) to position Avaali’s differentiation effectively
- Competitive Battlecards & Tracking: ‍
Build and maintain up-to-date competitive battlecards — pricing signals, feature positioning, messaging shifts, and analyst commentary — for priority competitors, and keep sales and product teams equipped with current competitive talk tracks
- Monitoring & Intelligence: ‍
Track analyst commentary, published research, and sentiment about Avaali and competitors; summarize key takeaways for leadership and sales enablement
- Enablement & Amplification: ‍
Repurpose analyst recognitions and citations (e.g., the Gartner Market Guide listing) into sales enablement assets, website trust signals, and marketing content
- Documentation & Reporting: ‍
Maintain a clear log/tracker of analyst relationships, interaction history, inclusion outcomes, competitive intelligence findings,

and next steps for continuity and reporting

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in analyst relations, competitive intelligence, or in B2B/enterprise tech PR, communications, market research, or product marketing with direct analyst-facing or competitive exposure
- Strong understanding of how analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, HFS, etc.) construct their research, evaluation criteria, and inclusion processes
- Working knowledge of competitive intelligence practices — battlecard creation, win/loss analysis, and translating competitor moves into actionable positioning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to represent Avaali’s products credibly and confidently in conversations with senior analysts
- Solid project management skills — comfortable tracking multiple relationships, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously
- Ability to translate product capabilities and customer outcomes into the language and frameworks analysts use to evaluate vendors
- Familiarity with the procurement, source-to-pay, or broader enterprise software/SaaS category is a strong plus
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, sales, and leadership stakeholders, including direct interaction with CXO-level leadership
- Bonus: existing relationships or prior direct engagement with Gartner, Forrester, HFS Research, IDC, or similar firms

Success Metrics:

- Number of active, regularly briefed analyst relationships across priority firms
- New inclusions, citations, or ratings secured in analyst reports, market guides, and rankings
- Analyst sentiment and quality of coverage for Avaali, Velocious, and Avagama.AI
- Timeliness and completeness of RFI/survey responses and briefing follow-ups
- Currency and adoption of competitive battlecards by sales (e.g., usage in active deals)
- Volume and quality of win/loss insights captured and actioned
