About the Role
We are looking for a creative, agile, and technically skilled 3D Animated Video Developer Intern to join our content creation team. In this role, you won't just be making animations; you will be translating complex educational concepts into visually engaging, easy-to-understand 3D stories.
Because education needs to keep pace with the world, a key part of this role involves topical, rapid-response content creation. Whether it’s breaking down a breaking scientific discovery, explaining a sudden economic shift, or clarifying a trending tech concept, you will help us produce high-quality educational videos according to the "need of the hour."
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End 3D Production: Asset modeling, texturing, rigging, animating, lighting, and rendering educational scenes based on provided scripts.
- Rapid-Response Content: Collaborating with subject matter experts to quickly conceptualize and execute 3D explainers on timely, trending educational topics.
- Storyboarding & Layout: Transforming complex concepts (in physics, history, tech, biology, etc.) into clear visual storyboards before full animation begins.
- Post-Production: Editing rendered sequences, adding motion graphics, aligning visuals with voiceovers, and integrating sound effects/music.
- Asset Management: Building and organizing a reusable library of 3D models, textures, and templates to optimize production speed for future urgent topics.
Qualifications & Skills Technical Requirements
- Software Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with 3D software such as Blender, Autodesk Maya, or Cinema 4D.
- Post-Production Tools: Experience with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve for compositing and final editing.
- Optimization: Understanding of rendering engines (e.g., Cycles, Eevee, Arnold) and how to optimize render times for fast turnarounds.
Soft Skills & Core Traits
- Agility & Speed: Ability to adapt to tight deadlines when a sudden global or academic event requires a quick-turnaround explainer video.
- Educational Mindset: A knack for breaking down dense, technical information into engaging, visually intuitive metaphors.
- Collaborative Spirit: Comfortable taking feedback from educators and scriptwriters to ensure factual accuracy.
