A duty doctor in an IVF fertility hospital is responsible for managing patient care during assigned shifts, especially for those undergoing treatments like IVF.
- Monitor patients undergoing IVF treatments (ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, embryo transfer).
- Check vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition of patients.
- Follow up on admitted and outpatient cases.
- Administer or supervise IVF medications (hormone injections, supportive drugs).
- Assist during procedures like egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
- Ensure treatment protocols are followed correctly.
- Handle urgent situations such as severe pain, allergic reactions, or post-procedure complications.
- Provide immediate care and stabilize patients before escalation.
