Internal Surveyor – Motor Claims: Ensuring Accurate Assessment & Efficient Claims Processing

Position Overview:

As an Internal Surveyor, you will be responsible for surveying and assessing claim applications, determining the genuineness of claims, and preparing detailed reports on losses. Your role ensures that damaged vehicles are surveyed efficiently, customer escalations are resolved, and outstanding claims are periodically reviewed for speedy disposal.

Key Responsibilities:

Survey & Assessment of Claims:

- Conduct thorough assessments of claim applications to determine losses.

- Prepare reports verifying the genuineness of claims while ensuring damaged vehicles are properly surveyed.

Claims Processing & Settlement:

- Process and settle claims in accordance with company policies and guidelines.

- Follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely closure.

Customer & Channel Escalation Handling:

- Address escalations from customers and business channels effectively, ensuring swift resolutions.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination:

- Work closely with external vendors within specified turnaround times.

- Collaborate with law enforcement officials, eyewitnesses, and lawyers when required.

- Maintain solid relationships with workshops and dealers to ensure seamless claim execution.





Turnaround Time (TAT) & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to TAT across all assessment and claim processes as per defined SOPs.

Requirements:

- Workshop background or prior experience in general insurance is preferable.

- Diploma, BE, or BTech in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.

Technical & Behavioral Skills:

- Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to collective success.

Negotiation & Decision-Making:

- Strong negotiation skills for handling claims and stakeholder discussions.

Communication & Analytical Thinking:

- Clear and confident communication skills to interact with various parties involved in claim assessments.
