Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager for our Plastic Injection Moulding plant. The role is responsible for overall production management across all 3 shifts, ensuring production targets, manpower planning, machine utilization, quality, process control, trial coordination, and communication between shift teams. The candidate will oversee smooth round-the-clock manufacturing operations and ensure productivity, quality, and safety standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

- Oversee production activities across all 3 shifts
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are achieved
- Monitor machine utilization, cycle time, OEE, and productivity
- Coordinate with production planning for output execution

Shift Team Management

- Supervise shift in-charges, operators and support staff
- Manage manpower allocation for all shifts
- Monitor shift handover and production continuity
- Ensure effective communication between all shift teams

Process Monitoring

- Monitor injection moulding processes across all production lines
- Ensure machine parameters and process controls are maintained
- Review production losses and downtime
- Support troubleshooting for machine/process issues

Quality Management

- Monitor rejection and quality performance across all shifts
- Coordinate with quality team for process compliance
- Ensure defect reduction and corrective actions

Mould & Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate mould changes and production scheduling
- Work with tool room and maintenance teams
- Ensure preventive maintenance compliance
- Monitor breakdown resolution and machine availability

Trial Management

- Attend mould trials for new and existing products
- Monitor trial process, machine settings, and quality performance
- Coordinate with production, quality, and tool room teams during trials




- Prepare detailed trial reports with observations and corrective actions

Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare production MIS reports
- Monitor production efficiency, scrap, downtime, and shift performance
- Review shift reports and performance metrics
- Present reports to plant/production head
- Maintain production records using Microsoft Excel
- Track productivity, rejection, and trial data

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure safety practices across all shifts
- Monitor PPE compliance
- Implement 5S and shop floor discipline
- Ensure compliance with company procedures

Qualifications

- Diploma in plastic technology, Production Engineering
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Plastic Injection Moulding
- Minimum 3 years of experience handling overall plant production / multiple shifts

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
