A psychologist is a licensed mental health professional who assesses, diagnoses, and treats mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They utilize psychological evaluations, testing, and talk therapy (psychotherapy) to help individuals, families, and groups navigate life challenges and improve their overall mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessment & Diagnosis: Interview clients, administer diagnostic tests (e.g., personality, intelligence, or aptitude tests), and evaluate behavior to identify specific mental health disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized, evidence-based behavior modification and therapeutic plans to help clients reach their goals.
- Therapy: Conduct one-on-one, family, or group therapy sessions.
- Monitoring & Collaboration: Track patient progress regularly and adjust treatment protocols as needed.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Typically requires an advanced degree, such as a Master’s or Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Psy.D., or an M.A. in Clinical Psychology).
- Licensing: Must hold a qualified license to practice in their specific region (e.g., licensed by state boards or the Rehabilitation Council of India).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional active listening, empathy, strong communication, and the ability to maintain firm ethical boundaries
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
