Overview

We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Phlebotomist Technician to collect blood samples and assist in diagnostic laboratory procedures within the hospital. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect blood samples from patients using proper venipuncture techniques
- Prepare patients for blood collection procedures and explain the process clearly
- Label, handle, and transport specimens accurately to the laboratory
- Maintain patient records and sample documentation properly
- Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Monitor patients during and after blood collection procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area
- Coordinate with laboratory staff, nurses, and doctors for sample requirements
- Assist in inventory management of collection supplies and equipment
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste as per hospital guidelines





Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma or Certification in Phlebotomy / Medical Laboratory Technology
- 0–3 years of experience in phlebotomy or laboratory services preferred
- Knowledge of blood collection procedures and specimen handling
- Good communication and patient handling skills
- Ability to follow safety and infection control standards
- Basic computer knowledge and documentation skills
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and hospital protocols is an added advantage
