Language Academy is one of Australia's leading coaching institutes for PTE, NAATI CCL, and English-language test preparation, based in Parramatta, Sydney. We help students and migrants achieve the scores they need for study, work, and permanent residency in Australia. As we grow our digital presence, we're looking for a creative, AI-savvy content specialist to bring our brand to life across social media and video.

The role

We're hiring an Video Editor cum Social Media Manager to own our video content and social channels end to end. You'll turn test-prep tips, study hacks, and student success stories into scroll-stopping short-form videos, and keep our social media consistent, engaging, and growing. If you love blending storytelling with the latest AI tools, this role is for you.

What you'll do

- Edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) and long-form content using AI-powered editing tools
- Plan, schedule, and manage posts across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok
- Write captions, hooks, and copy that match our brand voice
- Track performance (reach, engagement, growth) and adapt the content strategy accordingly
- Stay ahead of trends, audio, and formats in the education and creator space
- Collaborate with the team on campaigns, launches, and content calendars

What we're looking for





- 2–4 years of experience in video editing and/or social media management
- Hands-on skill with AI content and editing tools (e.g. CapCut, Descript, Runway, ElevenLabs, Opus Clip, Canva AI, ChatGPT — or your own stack)
- A strong portfolio/showreel of video edits and social content
- Solid understanding of what performs on each platform
- Outstanding written English, with an eye for design and pacing
- Self-driven, organised, and reliable in a remote setup

Nice to have

- Experience in education, ed-tech, or coaching niches
- Motion graphics or basic design skills
- Experience growing a social account from scratch
