Required Experience

- 5+ years z/OS DB2 DBA - Extensive background with large-scale complex corporate DB2 setting (including data-sharing, daily CICS and DDF workload 80+ Million transactions, zero down-time, 7x24 environment)
- 5+ years of experience with mainframe Application DB2 support such as: DB2 packages, DB2 threads, Application DB2 performance tuning, partitioned tables, UTS, triggers and Stored Procedures
- 5+ years of experience with BMC tool suite, including Logmaster, Recovery Manager, Change Manager, or similar tool suite, as well as a tool for incident/change/problem management such as Remedy
- 5+ years performance tuning by analyzing database and OS performance and implementing tuning and optimization recommendations

Preferred Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information Systems or related field, or 7+ yrs equivalent work experience
- DB2 z/OS v10 DBMS Certification, Experience with BMC Utilities, REXX or COBOL
- Experience with DB2 LUW (UDB) as a DBA. Experience with IMS as a DBA.
- Database design and data modeling experience a plus
