Key Requirement for the Position

Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture

Assist in developing detailed VMware architecture designs, including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, and Horizon environments.

Participate in requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Design hybrid cloud integration with VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution (AVS), or other hyperscalers.

Implementation & Deployment

Lead or assist in the installation, configuration, and migration of VMware environments.

Perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management of VMware infrastructure.

Integrate VMware platforms with storage, networking, and backup solutions.

Performance & Optimization

Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and health checks for VMware platforms.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across compute, network, and storage layers.

Governance & Compliance

Ensure solutions align with security policies, industry best practices, and compliance requirements.

Document architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational procedures.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with senior architects, project managers, and client teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Provide knowledge transfer and training to operations teams.

Required Skills & Experience




10–12 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 4 years in VMware virtualization.

Strong hands-on expertise in VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and vSAN.

Experience with VMware NSX for network virtualization and security.

Familiarity with VMware Horizon for VDI deployments.

Understanding of storage technologies (SAN/NAS), networking concepts, and backup/recovery solutions.

Exposure to hybrid cloud integration (VMware Cloud on AWS, AVS, or Google Cloud VMware Engine).

Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions such as VMware SRM (Site Recovery Manager).

Experience in designing HA/DR solutions and performing migrations from physical/virtual platforms.

Preferred Certifications
VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV / VCP-NV / VCP-DTM)

VMware Certified Advanced Qualified (VCAP) – desirable

ITIL Foundation certification – desirable
