Role Summary
The English Teacher will be responsible for teaching English language and literature as per State Board syllabus, improving students’ reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Academic Duties
Teach English as per Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus.
Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
Complete syllabus on time.
Conduct regular tests and assignments.
2. Language Skill Development
Improve students’ grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.
Encourage spoken English practice in class.
Conduct activities like debates, speeches, and essay writing.
3. Exam & Evaluation
Prepare question papers and worksheets.
Correct answer sheets and provide constructive feedback.
Focus on improving 10th and 12th public exam results (if handling higher grades).
4. Classroom Management
Maintain discipline and positive classroom environment.
Monitor student attendance and progress.
Communicate with parents during PTMs.
5. School Participation
Participate in school events and language-related competitions.
Support academic and administrative activities when required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in English.
B.Ed. mandatory (especially for higher grades).
Good spoken and written English.
Strong grammar knowledge.
Preferred Skills
Experience in handling State Board exam classes.
Valuable pronunciation and presentation skills.
Ability to motivate students.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
