We are looking for an experienced Senior Greige Fabric Quality Inspector for polyester blackout satin fabric manufactured on waterjet looms.

The candidate will be responsible for inspecting greige fabric before dispatch and identifying weaving, yarn and contamination-related defects that may become more visible after dyeing or processing.

This is a hands-on factory-floor position. The candidate must personally inspect fabric on the folding/inspection machine and should have experience with polyester filament woven fabrics such as blackout, curtain, satin, triple-weave or other dense constructions.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct 100% inspection of greige blackout fabric before dispatch.
- Detect defects such as warp and weft floats, missing ends, missing or loose picks, reed marks, stop marks, tight or loose ends, yarn contamination, oil marks and repair faults.
- Mark defects accurately with the metre position and location across the fabric width.
- Approve, hold, downgrade or reject rolls based on quality.
- Inspect dyed complaint samples received from traders and identify whether the problem originated from weaving, yarn, processing, dyeing or handling.
- Compare dyed complaint samples with retained greige fabric samples.
- Trace recurring defects loom-wise, beam-wise, yarn-lot-wise and shift-wise.




- Coordinate corrective actions with the existing weaving master.
- Train folding-machine operators and junior fabric checkers.
- Maintain roll-wise inspection reports, defect maps and complaint records.
- Help improve the inspection-machine lighting, speed, tension and checking process.
- Reduce customer complaints and prevent defective fabric from being dispatched.

Required Experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience in woven-fabric inspection or textile quality control.
- At least 2 years of experience with polyester blackout, curtain, satin, triple-weave or similar dense filament fabric.
- Experience inspecting greige fabric before dyeing or processing.
- Knowledge of waterjet loom fabric and polyester filament yarn.
- Ability to distinguish weaving defects from dyeing and processing defects.
- Practical knowledge of EPI, PPI, GSM, weave construction, reed, denting and yarn tension.
- Experience using a fabric inspection or folding machine.
- Knowledge of the four-point fabric inspection system is preferred.

Candidates with experience only in garment checking, knitted fabric, embroidery, printing or fabric sales should not apply.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
