Role Overview

We are looking for a Permit Executive to own the DISCOM-side activities that bring a rooftop solar plant live—from net-meter procurement and installation to on-ground coordination with DISCOM officials for inspection, approval, configuration, and grid synchronisation. This role is critical to closing the last mile of every project, ensuring plants are commissioned on time and customers begin generating and exporting power without delays.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure net meters from DISCOM and coordinate their delivery and installation at customer sites
- Liaise with DISCOM officials at the subdivision/section-office level for inspections, approvals, and feasibility clearances
- Schedule and accompany DISCOM officials for site inspections and meter installation/commissioning visits




- Coordinate configuration and synchronisation of the solar plant with the grid and ensure the bi-directional meter is set up correctly
- Track each application through every DISCOM milestone and proactively follow up to prevent backlogs
- Resolve on-ground queries, objections, or documentation gaps raised by DISCOM officials
- Coordinate closely with operations, installation, and commissioning teams to align field readiness with inspection dates
- Maintain accurate records of approvals, meter details, and synchronisation status for every order

Requirements

- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related field
- 1–4 years of experience in net metering, DISCOM liaisoning, or rooftop solar commissioning; DISCOM experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of net-metering processes, meter installation, and grid synchronisation
- Familiarity with DISCOM subdivisions, procedures, and on-ground coordination
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and relationship-management skills
- Willingness to travel across sites and DISCOM offices in and around the city
- Strong ownership and a problem-solving mindset to push approvals to closure
