Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Machinist to fabricate, overhaul, and repair mechanical equipment onboard vessels and within our shipyard. You will read blueprints, operate manual or CNC workshop machinery, and perform exact installations of critical ship propulsion and auxiliary systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom parts using lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses.
- Overhaul shipboard machinery including pumps, valves, compressors, and winches.
- Align propulsion systems such as main engines, shafts, and propellers.
- Read technical blueprints, schematic drawings, and marine engineering specifications.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Dismantle and reassemble heavy mechanical units during vessel dry-docking.
- Collaborate with engineers and pipefitters to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures.
- Maintain safety standards by following OSHA, maritime, and shipyard protocols.
Pay: From ₹1,500.00 per day
