Job description:

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented RCM Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in managing the intake of current patients and securing necessary authorizations for services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare insurance processes and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective patients and their families. Conduct thorough intake screening to gather detailed patient information, including medical history, current health status, and care requirements.
- Collect and record patient information accurately in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Process incoming referrals and inquiries for medical services.
- Determine patient eligibility for medical services based on insurance coverage. Identify any coverage limitations or exclusions.
- Obtain authorizations for medical services requiring prior approval.
- Communicate with insurance providers to ensure timely approvals. Submit required documentation for authorization requests.




- Provide clear information to patients regarding insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies as needed..
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in any field is required.
- Previous experience in healthcare intake, medical billing, or authorization roles in the healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, billing and coding procedures, insurance guidelines, and reimbursement practices is preferred
- Understanding of healthcare insurance processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
