Job Description
Position Overview
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at interior fit-out project sites. The role involves implementing HSE policies, conducting site inspections, training workers, and promoting a safety-first culture to minimize risks and incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce safety regulations and company policies on project sites.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and report non-compliance.
- Develop and implement safety procedures specific to interior fit-out works (e.g., electrical safety, working at height, confined spaces).
- Ensure all workers, subcontractors, and visitors comply with PPE requirements.
- Organize safety induction and toolbox talks regularly.
- Investigate incidents,
near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
- Maintain and update safety documentation including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and permits to work.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors for HSE compliance.
- Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and materials in office.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in safety audits.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering / Occupational Health and Safety
- 2–7 years of experience in a similar role in the interior fit-out or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of local HSE laws and standards
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend effective preventive measures
- Attention to detail and documentation
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
