Role Overview
The Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining operational stability and delivering high-
quality technical support. This role involves monitoring systems, troubleshooting complex
issues, and collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure service continuity and
improvement. The position requires strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving,
and a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic workplace.

Key Responsibilities
 Technical Troubleshooting: Investigate application related hardware, software, and
network issues, including root cause analysis using logs and resolve involving
corresponding technical teams.
 Monitoring & Analytics: Build and maintain alerts and dashboards using Dynatrace.
 Service Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and
process optimisation.
 Change deployment support: Evaluate and support changes to minimise service
disruption.




 Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure
seamless service delivery.
 Platform & Application Support: Provide support for digital platforms, cloud-based
applications, and Java-based microservices.

Skills & Qualifications
 Understanding of ITSM.
 Good communication and influencing skills with a pragmatic approach.
 Expertise in Dynatrace (alerts and dashboards).
 Ability to interrogate logs and debug complex issues, including API calls.
 Knowledge about cloud-based applications and flow.
 Basic understanding of SQL and Linux shell scripting.
 Familiarity with ServiceNow.
 Experience supporting digital platforms (preferable) and retail banking (optional).
