Job Summary

The Assistant Lecturer in the Nursing Department is responsible for delivering quality teaching, supervising clinical and laboratory training, mentoring students, supporting academic and administrative activities, and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions as per the curriculum.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and presentations.

Demonstrate nursing procedures in laboratories and clinical settings.

Encourage active learning and career development.

2. Clinical Training

Supervise students during hospital clinical postings.

Guide students in patient care practices and nursing procedures.

Evaluate students' clinical competencies.

Coordinate with affiliated hospitals for clinical training.

3. Student Assessment

Prepare question papers, assignments, and practical examinations.

Conduct internal assessments and maintain academic records.

Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback.

Monitor attendance and academic progress.

4. Academic Administration

Maintain course files, lesson plans, attendance registers, and academic records.

Assist in curriculum implementation and revision.

Participate in departmental meetings and academic planning.

5. Student Mentoring

Provide academic and career guidance.

Counsel students on academic performance and professional ethics.

Promote discipline and professionalism.

6. Research & Professional Development

Participate in research, seminars, conferences, and workshops.





Publish research papers and contribute to academic activities.

Continuously update nursing knowledge and teaching practices.

7. Institutional Activities

Participate in admissions, orientation, examinations, and college events.

Organize health awareness programs, camps, and community outreach activities.

Support NAAC, INC, State Nursing Council, and University documentation.

8. Compliance

Ensure compliance with institutional policies and nursing regulations.

Maintain confidentiality of student and institutional information.

Follow professional ethics and nursing standards.

Required Qualifications

M.Sc. Nursing in the relevant specialty (preferred).

B.Sc. Nursing with teaching/clinical experience may be considered, subject to institutional and regulatory norms.

Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
