The Key Skills Required.

- Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching technologies of 5 years and above.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols such as IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, RIPV2, 802.11, QoS), etc.
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
- Network Planning, Design and Implementation experience in HLD and LLD
- Throughout knowledge of IPv4/v6 migration techniques, policy languages
- Solid understanding of routing and switching products and technologies
- Experience with firewalls, internet VPNs, SDWAN, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Experience in reverse engineering and problem solving
- Strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator.
- CCNA or CCNP certifications is a plus. Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes, like, SLA, Change/Release Management. Experience in using ticketing tools such as service now, remedy will be an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Should possess very good knowledge in the areas of :

- establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
- design and implement current solutions and improve resilience of the current environment
- maximize network performance by monitoring performance,



troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization
- undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources
- secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access
- support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy
- report network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
- upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
- configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls
- provide remote support to on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation
- provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation
- undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers
- liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis
- speak to customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture.
- Excellent troubleshooting problem solving and organizational skills
- Media Capacity Policy management & basic health checkup needs to be managed
- Monitor and resolve alerts
- Monitor system security
