About Tekfoods:

Tekfoods is a Kolkata based growing organization in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. We pride ourselves on efficiency, quality, and financial integrity. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and ensure smooth accounting operations.

Role Overview

As a Senior Accountant at Tekfoods, you will handle the core bookkeeping, inventory-linked transactions, and day-to-day financial tracking. Since FMCG involves high-volume transactions, high accuracy in sale and purchase entries is critical for this role.

Job description:

1. Sale & Purchase Entries: Accurately record daily high-volume sales, purchase invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.

2. Ledger Maintenance: Manage and reconcile accounts payable (vendors) and accounts receivable (distributors/retailers).

3. Tally Management: Handle all accounting workflows seamlessly within Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.

4. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliation statements (BRS) to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.

5. Documentation: Maintain proper physical and digital filing of invoices, vouchers, and financial records.

Taxation (Optional/Add-on): Assist with basic TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) calculations and documentation if required.

Candidate Criteria:

Qualifications:

Minimum B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) degree from a recognized university.

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of core accounting experience (Experience in FMCG sector is highly preferred).

Software Skills:

Tally is a absolute must. Advanced proficiency in Tally is required. Solid basic knowledge of MS Excel is also expected.

Skills:

Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping, inventory accounting, and attention to detail.
