Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations – Integration Azure Engineer

4–7+ years in Azure‑based integrations with D365 F&O;

Role Overview

The D365 F&O; Integration – Azure Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and operating Azure‑based integration solutions between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and enterprise systems. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and resilient integrations using Azure Integration Services, following Microsoft‑recommended architecture and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Integration Development

- Design and develop integrations using Azure Integration Services, including:
- - Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Functions
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure API Management (APIM)

- Implement batch, near‑real‑time, and event‑driven integration patterns.

D365 F&O; Integration

- Build integrations using:
- - Data Entities & DMF
- OData APIs
- Custom services
- Business Events

- Ensure reliable data exchange between D365 F&O; and external systems (ERP, MES, PLM, Finance, third‑party platforms).

Security, Monitoring & Reliability

- Implement secure integrations using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), OAuth, Managed Identities, and Service Principals.
- Configure logging, monitoring, s, retry mechanisms, and error handling using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
- Ensure integrations meet enterprise security, compliance, and performance standards.

DevOps & Deployment

- Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.




- Assist with deployment, configuration, and setting‑specific integration setups.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and production support for integration issues.

Collaboration & Documentation

- Work closely with F&O; functional consultants, integration architects, and data teams.
- Prepare integration design documents and technical specifications.
- Participate in design and architecture reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

Mandatory

- Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Integration Services.
- Experience integrating D365 Finance & Operations using:
- - Data Entities / DMF
- OData and custom APIs

- Solid understanding of Azure security concepts (Entra ID, OAuth, Managed Identity).
- Experience with Azure DevOps for build and release management.
- Understanding of D365 F&O; architecture and data model.
