Job Summary:

The IT Head for Hotels will be responsible for overseeing all information technology operations, infrastructure, and systems across the hotel properties. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless functioning of all technology-driven services, enhancing guest experience, and supporting the hotel's business objectives through robust and innovative IT solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of hospitality technology, solid leadership skills, and a proactive approach to managing complex IT environments.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

- Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategies and policies aligned with the hotel's overall business goals and guest experience initiatives.
- Manage, maintain, and optimize all hotel IT infrastructure, including networks (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi), servers, workstations, telecommunication systems (VoIP), and data centers.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of critical hospitality systems such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, Key Card Systems, and other operational software.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and privacy of all hotel data and systems by implementing robust cybersecurity measures, data backup, and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT department staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations,



and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage IT budgets, control expenditures, and optimize technology investments to ensure maximum return on investment and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and contractors, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and optimal service delivery.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for all hotel departments and guests, ensuring minimal disruption to services and rapid resolution of issues.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in hospitality IT, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency, guest satisfaction, and competitive advantage.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS) and internal company policies and standards.
- Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, including system upgrades, new installations, infrastructure improvements, and technology integrations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with other department heads to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions.
