Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Maintenance Operations
Lead the execution of comprehensive preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the optimal functioning of production equipment and machinery.
Proactively diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures, minimizing downtime and maintaining production continuity.
Monitor and analyse machine performance metrics regularly to identify trends and implement improvement strategies for enhanced efficiency and reliability.
Coordinate rapid response and restoration efforts during equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing processes.
Equipment Reliability
Maintain and enhance engine manufacturing machinery including CNC machines, automated assembly lines, conveyors, compressors, and allied systems.
Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment faults, developing actionable solutions for long-term reliability improvements.
Implement reliability-centered maintenance initiatives and lead Kaizen activities to promote continuous operational enhancements.
Planning & Documentation
Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules aligned with preventive maintenance (PM) plans, ensuring strict adherence and timely execution.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, equipment history cards, downtime logs, and service reports to support data-driven decision making.
Monitor spare parts consumption, maintain inventory levels, and coordinate procurement to avoid equipment downtime due to unavailability.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with established plant safety protocols, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
Strictly enforce Lockout-Tagout (LOTO)



procedures to safeguard personnel during maintenance operations.
Actively participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and drive initiatives that foster a safe and healthy working environment for the entire maintenance team.
Champion a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among team members through training and regular communication.
Utilities & Infrastructure
Support the upkeep and operational readiness of utility systems including air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, DG sets, and material handling equipment.
Continuously monitor utility system performance indicators and coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades as necessary to ensure reliability.
Continuous Improvement
Engage actively in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing principles, and cost reduction programs to advance operational excellence.
Recommend and implement equipment modifications and process improvements aimed at enhancing efficiency, reliability, and reducing maintenance overheads.
Provide technical support for the installation, commissioning, and handover of new machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth integration into production.
Education Qualification

A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics or a Bachelor of Technology degree is required, ideally with relevant specialisations in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering disciplines. Candidates with additional certifications in maintenance management,



reliability engineering, or quality control will be given preference.

Continuous career development through industry-recognised courses such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Lean Six Sigma will be considered an advantage.

The candidate should demonstrate a strong foundational knowledge in electronics and mechanical systems applicable to manufacturing equipment, alongside familiarity with CNC technology and manufacturing processes.

General Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years and up to 8 years of progressive experience in maintenance within the automotive manufacturing sector or a comparable industrial setting.

This experience must include hands-on involvement with preventive and corrective maintenance of complex machinery such as CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and material handling equipment.

Proven expertise in coordinating maintenance teams, managing maintenance schedules, and executing root cause analysis is essential.

Experience working within or supporting TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives is highly desirable.

The candidate must possess strong analytical abilities, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach towards cross-functional teamwork.

Prior exposure to safety compliance standards, LOTO procedures, and maintenance documentation systems will enhance the candidate’s suitability for the role.
