Core Job Responsibilities

- Staff Supervision & Management:
- Create duty rosters and assign nursing and technical staff to specific shifts.
- Monitor and evaluate the daily performance of OT nurses, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct training, mentorship, and orientation programs for current and existing personnel

Surgical Scheduling & Coordination:

- Manage and prioritize the daily surgical list to optimize theatre resource usage.
- Coordinate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and wards for timely patient transfers.
- Promptly handle emergency surgical requirements and adjust the schedule dynamically

Infection Control & Quality Assurance:

- Enforce strict adherence to aseptic techniques, fumigation, and sterilization protocols.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare accreditation standards like NABH.
- Monitor biomedical waste disposal and radiation safety guidelines

Inventory & Equipment Maintenance:

- Maintain adequate stocks of emergency medicines, surgical instruments, and consumables.
- Supervise regular equipment checks, calibrations, and coordinate with engineering for repairs.




- Oversee sterilization services and coordinate with the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD

Documentation & Administrative Tasks:

- Maintain precise OT registers, surgical logs, patient records, and statutory checklists.
- Investigate, document, and report any adverse clinical incidents to higher hospital management

Job Specifications & Requirements

- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc Nursing) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma.
- Administrative acumen or healthcare management qualifications are highly desirable

Experience:

- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of working experience in an active operation theatre setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

Key Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of surgical asepsis, clinical protocols, and emergency medical response.
- Exceptional crisis management and communication skills to navigate a high-risk environment.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
