The Data Entry - Accounts will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry of scrap collection transactions, maintaining accounting records, and supporting the Accounts team in day-to-day financial operations. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and coordination with collection centres and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Enter daily scrap collection data into the accounting system, Tally ERP, Zoho Books.
* Record purchase transactions, invoices, receipts, and payment-related entries.
* Verify the accuracy of collection data received from collection centres.
* Maintain proper documentation and filing of purchase and accounting records.
* Reconcile data received from collection centres with system records.
* Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to scrap collections.
* Coordinate with collection centre supervisors for missing or incorrect data.
* Assist in vendor account reconciliation and ledger maintenance.
* Ensure timely and accurate data entry while maintaining confidentiality.
* Perform any other accounting and administrative tasks assigned by the reporting manager.
Required Skills
* Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
* Knowledge of Tally ERP/Prime or any ERP software is preferred.
* Good numerical and analytical skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Valuable communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to work under deadlines.
