Job Description
- Develop and maintain production budgets, track expenses, and ensure adherence to financial limits.
- Monitor and record financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and petty cash expenses.
- Analyze expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities and provide budget adjustment recommendations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cash flow statements and cost reports.
- Oversee contracts with vendors and process payments.
- Collaborate with the production team to create financial forecasts and assess risks.
- Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements and maintain proper documentation.
- Support effective communication regarding budgetary matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in production accounting or financial management, preferably in the entertainment industry.
- Robust understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Solid organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and regulations is a plus.
